Bioshock 2 review

Bioshock 2 was an emotional roller coaster. I really can't say much without giving out spoilers to those who haven't played this game or the first bioshock but I can say that I'm loving the duel-weld system over the old mechanical only having one hand out at a time. This time around you can only hold 5 health packs and 5 eve syringes at a time rather than the 9 in the last game but it really didn't bother me or effect the game play at all. when you die you still just re-spawn at the vita chambers rather than returning to a checkpoint. the story is still told threw the tasteful radio recordings as well as your helpful characters, which is a formula that works. One difference is kind of personal, the first game had black comedy feel, it was just funny all the way throw that's reminisce dark and black comedic horror... but this game is less funny and more darkly depressing, i felt draw in like a magnet into the world of rapture and had to stop and think after a few parts.

Well anyway the main storyline takes place 10 years after the events of the first game but the multiplayer actually is part of the story which is the civil war between the citizens of rapture...which is genius to tell the story of a war threw the MP!

To me the Bioshock series is going to go down as a work of art rather than a video game series. Bioshock 1 and 2 go beyond what is known as good storytelling in the video game world. The whole time i felt like I was playing a really good dark book

A+
